About FOA
Begun in 1957,
Friends of Art (FOA) is the museum's largest volunteer
support group. FOA sponsors major fund-raising events to benefit art
acquisitions and exhibitions. In its distinguished history, FOA has
contributed nearly $5 million for the acquisition of hundreds of artworks.
FOA members receive a limited-edition specialty item (T-shirt, mug, hat,
etc.) designed by a Milwaukee artist each year.

Annual Events
Bal du Lac -- This FOA black tie gala has been a perennial citywide favorite
for more than 40 years.
Grape Lakes Food & Wine Festival -- This four-day food-and-wine extravaganza
is one of MAM's top fundraisers. It's a wonderful opportunity to sample
Milwaukee's best food and the world's best wine. Grape Lakes events include

Lakefront Festival of Arts -- MAM's three-day art festival has been going
strong for more than four decades. One of the nation's premier juried art
festivals, it draws thousands of people each year. It features approximately
170 artists showing and selling their work, a silent art auction, college
student art show, children's art activities, live music and more.
Lakefront Festival of Arts Exhibition Policy
Friends of Art of the Milwaukee Art Museum does not receive any part of the
proceeds from the sale of artwork at the Lakefront Festival of Arts. All art
sales are the arrangements between the patron and the exhibitor. Friends of
Art would like to know if you are dissatisfied with your purchase or with
any aspect of the sale. However, because Friends of Art is not part of the
transaction, they have no responsibility for the sale and cannot resolve
problems related to the sale.
